One of our most popular podcasts from last year was on Legal Entity Identifiers (LEIs). Despite a last-minute six-month reprieve, MiFID II requires that all entities involved in European trades on both the buy and the sell-side will eventually be required to supply LEIs in their trade reporting.
As MiFID II went into effect January 3, we decided to re-run this podcast with Ron Jordan, Managing Director of Data Services at the DTCC, where he talks about LEI uptake and the challenges institutions might face in using them.
