Richard Robinson
Richard C Robinson is head of Strategy and Industry Relations for Open Symbology at Bloomberg. He has over 25 years of experience in the financial industry, holding leadership roles in operations and technology at global banks, brokers, investment managers and industry utilities.
Richard's career includes the following experience:
* 20 years of active involvement with standards organizations and industry efforts in data and message standards including MDDL, ISO15022, LEI and the precursors to LEI, through active membership in ISITC, ISO, FISD, EDMCouncil, X9, SIFMA, and ISDA
* Current Co-Chair of ISITC Derivatives Working group.
* Former co-Chair of ISITC Reference Data WG and Custodian Forum. Founding former Chair of MDDL Vocabulary Working Group. Founding Co-Chair of Unique Instrument Identification Group (FISD)
* Experience working with open source and open standards efforts including CloudFoundry, W3C and the Object Management Group’s FIGI
* Founding member of the International Society of Chief Data Officers out of MIT
He holds an MBA in Organizational Behavior and IT from NYU’s Stern School of Business and a B.S. in Industrial Management from Carnegie Mellon University.
