Leslie Grossman is a leadership and business/career development expert and author of Link Out: How to Turn Your Network into a Chain of Lasting Connections (John Wiley, Jan. 2013). As creator and co-founder of Women’s Leadership Exchange and founder of her own integrated marketing agency, Grossman has been helping professionals, executives and business owners achieve success for 25 years. Grossman’s integrated strategy has propelled the success of thousands, as well as her own achievements, as an entrepreneur, leader of nonprofit associations, consultant, speaker and author.
As co-founder of Women’s Leadership Exchange/WLE, Grossman used her strategy to launch and grow WLE, resulting in a diverse community of over 65,000 loyal fans and Fortune 100 corporate partners. Grossman’s first book was Sellsation! How Companies Can Capture Today’s Hottest Market: Women Business Owners and Executives (WPE Press, 2005). Among those whose careers and corporations have benefitted from her strategy are professionals and executives from leading companies like Aetna, Key Bank, Capital One Bank, Best Buy, IKEA and Northwestern Mutual, as well as thousands of small business owners and people launching or reinventing their careers. In fact, she wrote customized mini-books based on her C.R.E.A.T.E.S. strategy for IKEA and Best Buy retail management to use to broaden their networks and build long-term relationships in the local small business communities their stores serve. Invited by the U.S. Embassy, Grossman recently returned from a week long speaking tour in Japan, which included the cities of Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya and Fukuoka, attended by government officials, academics, university students, leaders of corporations and business associations, as well as young professionals.
Grossman’s personal commitment is exemplified by her 20 years of board service to women’s and business associations, including: first National Global Chair and NYC Past President National Association of Women Business Owners, (NAWBO); National Advisory Council of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). She also served as New York Chair, Women’s Leadership Forum; Board of Directors, New York Women’s Agenda and Jose Limon Dance Foundation; Board Secretary, Fashion Group International. She facilitated the meetings of the Capital One Bank Business Advisory Council in Washington, DC. for two years.
Grossman presently serves on the Advisory Board of the Center for Women’s Business Research, Washington, DC, and on the Board of Unleashed, an experiential leadership program empowering middle school girls to become social change agents through puppy rescue and welfare.
