Diana Shapiro
Mrs. Shapiro is Director and North America Head of OpenCollateral, a product offering for Citi’s Futures, Clearing and Collateral business which sits within the Investor Services Franchise. In this role, Diana is responsible for delivering a comprehensive suite of collateral management services to Citi’s institutional clients. Prior to her appointment in 2016, Diana served as a Futures and OTC Clearing product specialist where she played an integral role in shaping the firm’s infrastructure to support central counterparty clearing.
Mrs. Shapiro joined Citi in 2011 from Deutsche Bank where she spent seven years managing global project teams focused on areas such as Dodd Frank/Regulatory Reform, Risk and P&L, Operations and Market initiatives.
Diana is an active member in the financial services industry; previously acting as the chair of the FIA Cleared Swaps Operations Committee. She frequently speaks at leading industry events and was quoted in FIA Magazine’s article ‘SEFs and Clearing: Managing the Operational Challenges’. Additionally, Diana has published thought leadership in Risk Magazine around the impact of the CFTC residual interest rules on the cost of clearing.
Mrs. Shapiro holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from NYU Stern School of Business. She resides in Long Island, New York with her husband and three children.
