The SWIFT Business Forum London 2014 will take place on 29 April at London’s The Brewery. Please mark this date in your calendar.
Returning for its fourth year, the SWIFT Business Forum London will bring together 800 plus financial services professionals to explore the theme of Doing good business in an era of re-regulation. Continued regulatory pressure, the still challenging economic climate and the growing cyber threat are just some of the major change drivers forcing every aspect of established business models to be questioned at strategic, tactical and operational levels. This event will once again provide a venue in which to discuss how to work together to achieve both profitability and compliance in this evolving environment.
Opening the event, Fiona Woolf, Lord Mayor of the City of London, will share her views on the outlook for London as an international financial centre in light of these challenges.
And a high-powered panel session will focus on one vital area in which new regulation is biting: financial crime compliance. The session will explore how far upcoming regulatory changes will reshape the AML/KYC environment for firms operating in the London market. What are the operational impacts for banks of a tougher regime for fighting financial crime? Is there scope to take a collaborative approach to complying with the more rigorous standards for AML/KYC being put in place – and if so, how could the industry kick-start such collaboration?
The SWIFT Business Forum London programme will also once again offer dedicated business streams to examine how key market segments – compliance professionals, investors and market infrastructures and their communities – are working together to do good business.
Plus, a major exhibition will bring together key SWIFT partners and industry associations, enabling you to explore a range of valuable solutions – alongside SWIFT’s own offerings – to help you address the challenges being explored during the business forum.
Registration for the SWIFT Business Forum London will open soon. In the meantime, please mark the date in your calendar: 29 April 2014.
