For those of you who may have been on holiday in early August, please check out our recent webinar on cross margining, which is available on demand.
In this 1-hour webcast, we had a diverse panel of industry participants who shared their expertise with us on the topic of margin efficiency and cross margining in particular. Commerzbank’s Daniela Schroeder explained how cross margining operates, the advantages and disadvantages of cross margining compared to other strategies and how to assess if it is right for your firm.
Also, Eurex’s Alexander Rose briefly explained the various asset segregation models available under EMIR and debate the advantages and disadvantages before we opened up to the discussion to all the panelists (see speakers below) to debate margin efficiency strategies and how to create an optimised collateral workflow Participants in the live webinars asked questions throughout so you’ll get to hear what peers quizzed our panel on. Finally, I asked each speaker for his/her advice to fellow market participants on what you should be doing now to better manage your margin. Listen to the very end to hear this advice.
Apologies if some of the speakers (myself included) sound quiet so just turn up the volume. Also, a big thank you to all the speakers for sharing their expertise with us via the webinar (see their names below). We had a great turn out on this webcast and hope some of you will join us for future events (see our webinar link for upcoming events or register to get our e-vites first).
Enjoy the webinar and any questions please send to me or via the platform.
