Senior valuation and risk executive joins unique specialist advisory practice to bolster growth in end-user clients and online industry community.
Voltaire Advisors, the specialists in Valuation Risk, are pleased to announce that Peter Jones has joined the company as a Senior Partner in our London office. Peter will have primary responsibility for creating and growing Voltaire’s Valuation Risk Network – our online community for valuations and risk practitioners – and will also play a leading role in producing and presenting our Valuation Risk Briefing package for end-user firms.
Peter has over 18 years industry experience, with extensive knowledge in debt, equity, structured cash and derivative valuation, pricing, risk and research. Prior to Voltaire Advisors, Peter led operational and commercial groups at S&P Capital IQ and Interactive Data Corporation delivering innovative multi asset class valuation, research and pricing offerings to a wide range of financial institutions from banks and asset managers to accounting and financial technology firms.
Peter is a frequent speaker at industry seminars and conferences, and also regularly contributes to a wide range of industry and media forums on the issues surrounding valuation and pricing of complex and illiquid assets.
Ian Blance, Managing Director of Voltaire Advisors, said: “We are delighted that Pete has decided to join Voltaire, from both a personal and professional perspective. His extensive experience in this part of the industry is exactly what our advisory practice represents, and his expertise in innovation and deploying new technology and approaches to valuation problems is a huge asset to our firm.”
Peter Jones added: “I am very pleased to be joining Voltaire Advisors at such an exciting and challenging time. The valuation risk landscape is currently experiencing huge changes in both regulatory requirements, and the means to comply with them. I believe that Voltaire is uniquely positioned to assist the industry in this transformation.”
Voltaire Advisors have recently produced a comprehensive Valuation Risk Handbook (which can be accessed via our website www.voltaireadvisors.com) and we are hosting our first Valuation Risk Forum – an important conference focused on key market issues and the solutions available to resolve them – in London at the end of November.
