Trayport, a leading provider of energy trading solutions to traders, brokers and exchanges worldwide, today announced the addition of European Commodity Clearing AG (ECC) to its Complete Clear post-trade service.
Complete Clear allows users to see the status of trades in real-time across all clearing houses and counterparties on the Trayport network through one screen. It significantly reduces complexity for Brokers, eliminating the need for brokers to host and configure multiple clearing links. Complete Clear incorporates Trayport’s Gold Mapping Service to reduce administration for clients and improve post trade workflows, including reconciliation and reporting accuracy.
“We have now established a straight-through-processing solution for OTC registration via Trayport. At the trading participants’ request, the take-up of OTC transactions can be carried out fully automatically, allowing transactions to be transferred to the clearing house without any manual effort by the traders.” said Dr. Thomas Siegl, Chief Risk Officer of EEX Group. “This significantly facilitates the process for our trading participants and forms an important step towards getting higher OTC volumes on the exchange.”
Dan Smith, Head of Market Development at Trayport, said, “Following the announcement on the 12 November 2012 introducing Trayport Complete, we are delighted to be connected to ECC for real-time STP clearing. Trayport is committed to helping our clients reduce operational costs and meet regulatory obligations. Providing easy access to CCPs for OTC Brokers and traders demonstrates how we can help the transparency and smooth operation of the energy markets. Complete Clear offers CCPs the opportunity to improve clearing workflows and allows them to demonstrate that they offer market leading, innovative and cost effective services to participants. We look forward to welcoming other CCPs to our network in the coming months.”
