Etrading Software has been recognised as a Partner of Association of National Numbering Agencies (ANNA)
Etrading Software (ETS), the global regulatory data service provider, is pleased to announce being recognized as a Partner of ANNA at ANNA’s General Meeting (GM), held in Warsaw 3-4 December 2024. This designation is the first step to becoming a full member of the association and aligns ETS with existing numbering agencies, furthering its mission to support market transparency and efficiency through the development and implementation of international standards.
ETS is already the Registration Authority for ISO 24165, Digital Token Identifier (DTI) and has now become the Designated Numbering Agency responsible for issuing ISINs for crypto instruments globally. Any crypto assets that are not financial instruments in accordance with ISO 10962 CFI classification are treated as referential instruments and therefore are in scope for ISIN allocation with a new suffix of XT.
This centralised approach has been applied given the absence of a clear definition for, and identification of an issuer for such instruments and to avoid any regulatory divergence in the treatment of crypto assets across jurisdictions. ETS, acting through its non-profit division, the Digital Token Identifier Foundation (DTIF), has already been working with ANNA for over 2 years as part of the ANNA-DTIF task force. To date the task force has issued more than 200 XT ISINs and ETS will continue this task, allocating XT ISINs to all in-scope DTIs.
This partnership underscores ETS’ commitment to advancing global financial standards and enhancing the quality of data available to crypto market participants. Through working with ANNA, ETS aims to facilitate the seamless integration of traditional and digital financial instruments, enabling businesses and investors to benefit from a more interconnected and efficient global market.
