Head of research and consulting Gwenn Bézard will help expand the firm’s reach to the cybersecurity industry.
Aite Group, an independent research and advisory firm focused on business, technology, and compliance issues in financial services, has announced the launch of a new practice, Cybersecurity. The Cybersecurity practice will support information security executives and the technology vendor community with practical research into the best practices and technical solutions that can strengthen the cyber risk profile of financial institutions, insurance companies, payment processors, merchants, and healthcare industry stakeholders.
The new practice will cover the following areas: Machine learning and artificial intelligence, threat intelligence, network and endpoint security, identity and access management, cloud security, encryption, incident response, and data privacy and regulation.
The Cybersecurity practice will be spearheaded by industry expert and Aite Group head of research and consulting Gwenn Bézard. Joining him on the cybersecurity team is senior analyst Alissa Knight. Alissa, a self-described recovering hacker, serves as a thought leader and trusted advisor in the industry. She brings actionable recommendations for Aite Group clients through research papers, speaking engagements, interaction, and consulting on the contemporary IT risk management topics that matter most. A published author, she has worked in cybersecurity for over 18 years as a penetration tester and incident responder, and she has started and sold two previous cybersecurity startups before launching her own venture capital fund.
“In an effort to better support CISOs and their teams, I am pleased to announce the launch of Aite Group’s Cybersecurity research practice,” says Gwenn Bézard, head of research and consulting at Aite Group. “We are committed to being an indispensable partner offering deep expertise and valuable insights to our cybersecurity clients as we have, for the last 15 years, to executives in the financial services, insurance, and healthcare industries,” he adds.
