Announces December member conference agenda; New Vice Chair and Treasurer appointed to Board of Directors
ISITC (The International Securities Association for Institutional Trade Communication) has announced the agenda for their December 2017 Quarterly Meeting featuring topics from SWIFT on their Customer Security Program (CSP), a study on the future rollout of ISO 20022, and an introduction to Machine Learning. The group will also discuss their continued efforts around promoting the use of standards and best practices in the post-trade space.
ISITC’s December conference will bring together representatives from the group’s membership of over 80 firms consisting of asset managers, brokers, custodian banks and vendor/utilities to discuss key industry challenges and the development of best practices.
The organisation has made significant strides collaborating across the industry during the past twelve months. Most recently, it has focused on improving trade confirmation affirmation rates and assessing the overall process between investment managers and custodian banks. In addition, ISITC is collaborating with SIFMA’s Asset Management Group (AMG) and the Futures Industry Association (FIA) to develop best practices for Margin and Collateral within OTC Derivatives processing. The September meeting between the organisations focused on exchange-traded derivatives (ETD) confirmation and margin call messaging.
ISITC also announced the appointment of new board members into officer positions. Lisa Iagatta of Fiserv will serve as Vice-Chair and Ana Lotharius of The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) has been appointed to Treasurer. In these roles, they will focus on progressing the achievement of ISITC’s goals and initiatives across the industry. Both have significant experience within the financial services industry and ISITC welcomes them into their new roles.
“The industry is moving forward at lightning speed, and ISITC is focused on digging into the operational challenges that affect our community and developing standards that will ensure natural and smooth progression within these changes. ISITC is proud to be a part of this new world in finance and are extremely excited to continue to host forums to discuss, deliberate and collaborate,” says Erica Borghi, Chair of ISITC and Vice President of Fintech Risk at Brown Brothers Harriman & Co.
