Morning Sessions: Derivatives – Cataylst of Global Growth A presentation by ISDA’s chairman and panel discussions will demonstrate the theme of this first day, the essential role that derivatives play in the global economy. The first panel will consider the economic value of derivatives and how they contribute to the health and growth of the global economy. As part of this discussion, the costs and benefits of regulation and their impact on that economic value will be considered. The second panel will feature leading derivatives end-users discussing how they are using OTC derivatives to manage their business and financial risks – and what they are currently doing to prepare for the next economic and financial cycle.

Morning Sessions: Shaping the New World The focus on Thursday morning turns to an analysis of how firms are molding new business models and crafting new solutions in light of the many changes that have occurred on the regulatory front. The first panel, featuring senior derivatives industry executives, will explore the business implications of the fundamental changes that have occurred.
