UCL FINDS – Financial Industry Series Wednesday Evening Debate, London
Basel III introduces new capital and liquidity standards with the aim of strengthening the risk management and supervision of the banking industry; however, the implementation of the new regulatory framework may have unintended consequences. In an evening event, a panel discusses the possible long-term implications of the Basel III capital and liquidity requirements on capital costs, risk mitigation and market liquidity. The panel will also discuss the strategical and operational changes required to support Basel III compliance.
This event is planned as an early evening debate. It should last approximately 60 – 75 minutes, followed by 15 to 20 minutes Q&A and a networking session.
