With US and European regulation outlines finalised, many OTC market participants are reviewing their collateral management processes. Central to these changes will be portfolio reconciliation and dispute management processes between counterparties. The scope, volume and frequency with which firms will be required to reconcile their portfolios is set to increase, and participants will have to ensure they have the operational capability to perform the required reconciliation and also agree dispute management procedures to resolve discrepancies identified as a result of the process.
