Capco, a global business and technology consultancy dedicated solely to the financial services industry, confirmed today that respected industry figure, Michael Fröhlich, has joined the company as a Senior Partner in the European banking team. He also joins Capco’s European Executive team and brings with him over 15 years of experience in complex transformation management, core banking system replacement, post-merger integration, and global delivery models.
This important appointment demonstrates Capco’s on-going commitment to support banking clients with the very best and proven industry expertise. Fröhlich joins an already well-established banking team of European Partners, working from Capco’s network of offices across Continental Europe and the UK.
Fröhlich remarks, “I see very real opportunities to work with banks to overcome the challenges that have arisen over the past several years. Legislative and regulatory environments are becoming more rigorous. Financial institutions are faced with the tasks of controlling and reducing costs while pursuing ever-increasing efficiencies. Yet at the same time they have to build – or re-build – customer trust and loyalty while developing new product and service offers, often in a post-merger environment. To say the least, it’s a multi-dimensional challenge. But there are also very real opportunities for efficiencies and genuine transformation.”
Capco European CEO Peter Schurau said, “One of the key value-add factors our clients tell us we bring is genuine and cutting-edge insight into the specific needs of the financial services industry. Michael has unparalleled experience in core banking, merger, acquisition and post-merger activities. He understands the complexities inherent in these situations and, crucially, knows how to resolve them. Michael’s expertise is complementary to our growing European banking team.”
Fröhlich adds, “I am pleased to be joining Capco at a time when their financial services sector and technology expertise is bringing tangible benefits to increasing numbers of world class clients. I am excited that, as part of FIS – the world’s leading FinTech provider dedicated to banking and payments technologies – Capco is able to leverage best-of-breed, innovative products and solutions to support client delivery. Access to FIS’ complementary skill set, global talent pool, industry leading assets and strong balance sheet position Capco strongly to tackle complex architecture and large scale transformation challenges in financial services.”
Married with three children, Michael Fröhlich is an Austrian with pan-European experience extending from Switzerland to the Ukraine. He has also worked in Hong Kong and South Africa and was previously a Managing Partner at Accenture (Technology Growth Platform, Global Banking Capability Lead).
