Post-financial crisis, the protection of client assets is a priority for both international and national regulators. The UK Financial Services Authority (FSA) has introduced Client Money and Asset Resolution Pack Rules (CASS RP) to support the orderly and speedy distribution of client assets in the event of a financial institution default. CASS RP (or CASS packs) includes specific documents and records, financial institutions are obliged to maintain to assist the insolvency practitioner return client money and safe custody assets (client assets) more efficiently and quickly in the event of an investment firm failure.
