ISITC (The International Securities Association for Institutional Trade Communication), the industry trade group focused on standards in transaction processing and related communications, today announced that Jan Ellis Snitzer, Vice President at Loomis, Sayles & Co., will serve as the next Chair of the organization for the 2012-2013 tenure. Mrs. Snitzer will be taking over the Chairmanship from Gary Probert, who completed his two-year term as Chair in December 2011.
Mrs. Snitzer has been a member of ISITC since 2001 and has served on the ISITC North America Board of Directors as well as acted as the Executive Sponsor for the ISITC Investment Management Forum and the Technology & Standards Working Group. She most recently held the position of First Vice Chair, from which she automatically succeeds to the position of Chair.

I truly believe in the founding vision of ISITC – to bring standards to the industry – and I’m both excited and proud to lead this organization over the next two years,” states Mrs. Snitzer. “Financial services firms are facing increasingly complex pressures as a result of new regulatory initiatives and expanded product lines. Industry collaboration has never been more important and we will continue to do the work we’ve done over the last 20 years as a longstanding leader in the development of standards.”
Outgoing ISITC Chair Gary Probert, Managing Director at Citi, comments: “I’m honored to have served as the ISITC Chairman for the last two years and am equally proud to be handing over the reins to Jan Snitzer who is going to be a tremendous leader for our organization. Jan has been an instrumental ISITC member and her leadership will be a guiding light for the association.”
As Chair, Mrs. Snitzer will act as President and CEO of ISITC and preside at all board meetings. Her duties will include supervising and controlling ISITC’s affairs during her term, as well as acting on behalf of ISITC with regard to contracts and other documents. Mrs. Snitzer will also be addressing ISITC members at the 18th Annual Industry Forum and Vendor Show, which will be held in Boston in March 25-28, 2012. The event will bring together over 450 industry professionals from all areas of the financial industry, including broker/dealers, investment managers and custodians. Event delegates will include C-Suite and other senior executives from ISITC member firms who hold a wide variety of roles in both business and operations.
Probert, who served as ISITC Chair 2010-2011, will continue contributing to ISITC as part of the Executive Board.
