OptionsCity® Software, Inc., a leading provider of end-to-end electronic trading software, announced today that it now provides connectivity and high performance trading access to Montréal Exchange (MX), a fully electronic derivatives exchange. OptionsCity is now certified as an Independent Software Vendor (ISV) on the MX-SAIL gateway.
“Improved access is a key component to the business development strategy of Montréal Exchange. The addition of OptionsCity as an ISV expands the alternatives available to traders on our exchange and brings high quality software to our traders and market makers,” said Alain Miquelon, president and CEO of Montréal Exchange.
Connecting to Montréal Exchange will allow direct market access for options and futures traders using OptionsCity’s Metro and Freeway software. OptionsCity Metro is a fully configurable electronic trading platform that creates a distinctive edge by enabling traders to have full control over trading, market making, safety and risk management. The newly released Freeway platform allows for quick development and deployment of custom algorithmic trading strategies. Both Metro and Freeway are built for speed with a low-latency, server-based architecture.
“Montréal Exchange has long been at the forefront of operating and developing high quality market and clearing services, while offering a wide range of equity, interest rate, and index derivatives with a strong demand,” said Hazem Dawani, ceo of OptionsCity Software. “We are pleased to add connectivity to such a historically significant exchange.”
