Stone House Consulting, LLC announced that Philip Lawton, formerly head of the Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement (CIPM®) program at CFA Institute, has joined the firm as a partner.

Well-known as a speaker and author, Lawton was the founding head of the CIPM program, which has certificants in more than 35 countries. He is the co-editor of Investment Performance Measurement: Evaluating and Presenting Results, published by John Wiley & Sons in 2009. His previous experience includes serving as vice president at State Street Corporation, where he was investment consultant to the Retirement & Relief System of the City of Birmingham, AL, and supported the firms that belong to the Independent Consultants Cooperative. Previously he was vice president in charge of U.S. performance measurement in the Worldwide Securities Services division of Citibank. In addition, for eight years, he was an officer in the securities department of The Travelers where, among other assignments, he was a fixed-income portfolio manager.
