– Former Director of Business Development at BlackRock Solutions Appointed as New Head of Sales
Sophis, a leading provider of cross-asset, front-to-back portfolio and risk management solutions, today announced it has appointed Charles Garcia as head of Sales for Sophis North America to support the increasing demand for its products, particularly on the buy-side.
An industry veteran with more than 20 years experience in financial services and sales, Charles was most recently Director of Business Development at BlackRock Solutions. At BlackRock, Charles was responsible for driving sales for the firm’s enterprise investment system, which included yearly multi-million dollar revenue deals. Prior to this, Charles worked at Tradeweb, where he developed and implemented the Order Management System product and sales strategy for Thomson Financial. Before this, Charles spent over 10 years at Bloomberg Financial Markets, where he held a number of sales roles including growing Bloomberg’s market data/trade order management to a multi-million dollar business and expanded sales in new regions such as Latin America.

Charles holds a B.S. in Finance from Syracuse University’s, School of Management.
