FINCAD, the industry standard for financial analytics, released FINCAD Analytics Suite 2010.1 to help customers gain operational efficiency for large groups.
FINCAD Analytics Suite provides a cross-asset financial analytics library with over 1,600 functions to calculate price and risk statistics for a comprehensive range of derivatives and fixed income instruments. New workbooks expand the library of more than 200 already included with FINCAD Analytics Suite for Excel. FINCAD Analytics Suite for Developers enables software builders to embed FINCAD’s analytics into their own applications.
FINCAD software’s concurrent user licensing option supports virtualization by providing access to FINCAD Analytics Suite solutions in a virtualized server environment. IT departments can gain operational efficiency by maintaining a pool of licenses on a centralized server, eliminating the need to transfer licenses between individual devices.
Operational risks can be reduced by installing the License Service at a secondary location for disaster recovery purposes. Uninterrupted access to FINCAD solutions is ensured by activating the pool of licenses at the new location. Additionally, version independent licensing allows users to seamlessly operate different versions of FINCAD software.
"Concurrent user licensing addresses our clients’ needs to optimize their software budgets and streamline operations,” said Bob Park, president and ceo, FINCAD. “IT departments can gain efficiency and simplify disaster recovery of critical applications by centralizing and sharing licenses.”
FINCAD’s Excel-based product also includes a new Interest Rate Swap Portfolio workbook that outputs price (with Credit Value Adjustment) and implied cash flows at the trade and portfolio level. It also calculates Potential Future Exposure (PFE) statistics and charts credit exposure profiles. Other new workbooks include:
• The Swaption Volatility Cube workbook handles interest rate market smile dynamics.
• The Variance/Volatility Swap workbook using the Heston model now covers Capped/Floored Variance Swaps.
