IntercontinentalExchange(R), Inc. (NYSE: ICE), a leading operator of global regulated futures exchanges, clearing houses and over-the-counter (OTC) markets announced that ICE Futures Europe(R) set a new daily volume record in the ICE Gasoil futures contract on Friday. On November 6, ICE Gasoil futures volume reached 287,269 contracts, surpassing the previous record of 241,495 contracts established July 22, 2009. The ICE Gasoil futures contract is used as the pricing reference for distillate trading in Europe, Asia and other regions. Its underlying physical market is heating oil barges delivered in the Antwerp, Rotterdam and Amsterdam region.
