Markit, a financial information services company, today announced that Adam J. Kansler will join its executive team.
Kansler will join Markit as an executive vice president, global head of Corporate, Government and Legal Affairs, and the company’s General Counsel. In this role, he will work on corporate strategy, legal and compliance matters, in addition to leading regulatory and government affairs.
Kansler joins Markit after 16 years at Proskauer Rose LLP, a New York-based law firm, where he was a partner in the corporate department, focused on private equity and the financial services industry.

Kansler graduated magna cum laude from Hobart College in 1990 and received his J.D. in 1993 from Columbia University School of Law. He will join Markit in July and will be based in New York.
