Strategic Thought Group plc has launched a new range of training courses available to customers globally. Unveiled at the recent EMEA user conference held in London, the new program has been designed to suit the needs of the different levels of user of Strategic Thought Group’s risk management solution, Active Risk Manager (ARM).
An extensive range of over 20 course options cover topics ranging from introductory risk management principles through to in-depth ARM functionality for different user types. Strategic Thought has also developed bespoke training packages providing an introduction to risk management and hands-on use of the risk management tools and reports. Full details on the new schedule of courses are available on the website www.strategicthought.com/trainingregistration .
Strategic Thought has already successfully delivered the new course materials in the United States, UK and Europe. According to Jennifer Jones, an Active Risk Manager Administrator of the Enterprise Risk Management team at Northrop Grumman (NGIS) in the US, “I attended recent ARM report training which was excellent – probably one of the most organised and well-presented training classes I have ever been to.”
The new series of courses is divided into streams to suit the different experience levels and requirements of a variety of user job roles and developed as a result of customer review and feedback sessions. The streams include ARM Role based training at fundamental and advanced levels, ARM Systems Management, ARM Technical, ARM Reporting and training for new releases. Each course focuses on the specific role of the user and how they use ARM within their business. The course range also includes introductory modules to provide delegates with awareness of risk methodology and terminology.
Training covers practical demonstrations on how to perform common tasks in Active Risk Manager, through to advanced user analysis tools for professional users. Detailed technical training for System Managers, installations and upgrades is also available. In addition, Strategic Thought Group offers a course specifically for risk champions to facilitate risk and opportunity workshops throughout their organisations.
Strategic Thought has also developed bespoke training for major worldwide customers comprising a mix of instructor-led sessions, e-learning and hands-on practical orientation around Active Risk Manager. As well as covering the basic principles of risk management, the courses include how business structures, for example different divisions, projects and activities can be represented in Active Risk Manager for a specific organisation. Users also have the opportunity to create scenarios and develop risk registers, mitigation strategies and use the report tools to look at the data they have entered.
Martin Metcalf, chief executive officer of Strategic Thought Group commented, “The new training courses form a key part of our new Global Services Portfolio strategy. Enterprise risk management is not just a concept but is increasingly an integral element of corporate strategy. Working together, our Risk Practitioners, trainers and technical services teams have designed education streams to closely match customer requirements. These offerings are an example of our partnership with customers to provide a range of services that help to deliver the benefits of Active Risk Manager and enterprise risk management at all levels within their organisations.”
