InvestTech Systems Consulting, Inc., the leading IT and operations consultants for institutional investors today announced significant growth in their derivatives practice, having been engaged by several of the industries largest buy-side clients in derivatives-related projects over the past 12 months.
The breadth of these projects extends from strategic assessments, operational reviews and optimization projects to the evaluation and selection of front, middle and back office derivatives systems as well as full scale derivatives implementations. These projects included significant experience in derivatives and required detailed functional and technical knowledge of the leading derivatives software vendors including Sophis, Murex, Summit, Calypso, Geneva and Simcorp, among others.
InvestTech Principal and co-founder Bruce Vollert added, "These projects employed the full range of InvestTech consulting services – strategic systems planning, derivatives operations re-engineering, systems evaluation and selection and implementation. We expect the market demand for our specialized derivatives services to expand exponentially. Buy-side institutional investors are focusing on risk management and placing a strategic priority on solidifying the necessary infrastructures to support derivatives."
Vollert will be chairperson and panel moderator at the June 23rd Financial Technology Forum (FTF) Derivatives Operations and Processing Conference in Chicago, IL. The conference agenda covers topics related to Best Practices for Firm-Wide Control of OTC and Exchange Traded Derivatives Transactions and will address the current challenges and initiatives shaping derivatives operations in today’s marketplace.
